The setup
A trend continuation idea says: the trend is healthy, the higher timeframe backs it, and the current pause is a pullback rather than a reversal. MSI answers the first part and SCTA answers the second and third.
Step 1: find trending assets
Open State Intelligence (MSI). MSI Top Ranking and the Quadrant Scatter show which assets combine trend strength with directional efficiency. Assets in the upper right of the scatter are trending cleanly; assets far to one side are strong but inefficient.
Step 2: confirm the trend is healthy
Open the asset on Market Structure Analysis. You want Healthy Trend as the regime, a phase of Building or Holding, and solid confidence. Fragile Trend means the trend is prone to failure; Stretching means the move is extended.
Step 3: confirm the higher timeframe
Open SCTA on the same asset and timeframe. Clean Trend Continuation or Pullback in Trend are the two states that support this setup. In the Timeframe Alignment Matrix, HTF direction should read With HTF or Strong With HTF and structure should read Aligned.
Step 4: read the pullback
Pullback in Trend is the setup the engine reads as better supported: the trend is backed and price has come back. Use Price Range Structure and Support Trend on the Metrics page to see where support sits and whether price is still above the support trend line.
Step 5: set the invalidation
The trend idea is wrong when structure breaks, not when price wobbles. Use the Invalidation Zone on the Metrics Breakdown page, and treat a change to Structural Breakdown or Against HTF in SCTA as a reason to reassess the idea.
Warning signs
MSI says Healthy Trend but SCTA says Fake Alignment: the trend on your chart is not backed higher up.
SCTA reads Overextended Move: the move is stretched compared with the higher timeframe.
MPI turns to Retail FOMO while the trend is still rising: the late crowd is arriving.
