What SMOD measures

Smart Market Overview & Discovery (SMOD) scores every asset against every other asset in the same period. Its output is per asset, but each score only makes sense relative to the universe, which is why SMOD is the base for most market-wide cards.

Its states are Silent Accumulation, Distribution, Liquidity Trap, High Manipulation, Emerging Coin, Momentum Expansion and Neutral.

SMOD regimes

SMOD regimes describe what an asset is doing relative to the market. Breakouts: HealthyBreakout, SpeculativeBreakout, FakeBreakout and BreakoutFailure. Trends: TrendLeader, HealthyTrend, CrowdedTrend and ExhaustedTrend. Ranges: AccumulationRange, DistributionRange, ChopZone and CompressionZone. Pumps: SpeculativePump, SmartPump and PumpTrap. Downside: Capitulation, DistributionDump, StopRun and StructuralBreakdown.

Discovery Intelligence

The Discovery Intelligence table ranks the universe with discovery, momentum, liquidity and stability, with a tab per engine. Discovery Categories groups assets by behaviour, and Pairs Discovery lists the pairs worth a closer look.

Relative, not absoluteA high SMOD score means an asset stands out against the market today. In a weak market, the strongest asset can still be weak in absolute terms.
