Knowing the current regime is only half the picture. The other half is how stable that regime is, and whether conditions are starting to shift.

Three cards to read together

Reading the timeline

A long flat line means a stable regime. Frequent steps mean the market has not settled.

Reading the probabilities

One clearly dominant bar means the engine expects continuity. Several bars of similar size mean the next move is open. Also watch for a second bar that keeps growing over several periods.

Case study: BTC probabilities shift

The 1H BTC timeline through October 30, 2026 shows many moves between Awaiting Confirmation, Chaotic Market, Volatility Breakout and Structure Change. The regime had not settled.

StateCandle closed 19:00 UTCCandle closed 20:00 UTC
Trending31%29%
Volatility Compression14%27%
Ranging13%16%
Distributing15%6%
Chaotic6%11%

Trending stayed the largest, but its lead over Volatility Compression narrowed from 17 points to 2 points. In other words, the next move was more open than one hour earlier.

Still, this is only one period, and a single change can be noise. Wait for the new regime to hold, or for a larger timeframe to agree, before treating it as a real change.
